Most of us would agree — the words “healthy” and “donut” don’t usually go in a sentence together.

Well, feast your eyes on this tasty tidbit: we found a great recipe for a fresh, fluffy dough pillow that’s actually good for you.

Perfect timing, because the Duluth News Tribune’s city-wide weight loss challenge, Duluze, is just around the corner, and Ideally You Weight Loss Center wants to help you win it.

Our video hosts David and Ali stopped by Ideally You to visit with owner and weight loss coach Cindi Johnson. They also ate a plate of donuts with zero guilt, thanks to Ideally You’s partnership with the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method and Products.

Cindi herself lost over 60 pounds through Ideal Protein and decided to bring the method to Duluth about a year and a half ago. Since then, she’s helped countless Northlanders become their best selves.

You can meet Cindi and get a free consultation at the Duluze weigh-in event at Clyde Iron Works on January 17 from 4-7pm.

In the meantime, grab yourself some Ideal Protein products at Ideally You Weight Loss Center at 925 E Superior Street, Suite 114, and make yourself some donuts!

1 package (2 squares) Ideal Protein lemon, strawberry, orange or triple chocolate wafers (crushed)
1 Ideal Protein chocolate chip pancake mix (dry)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/4 c. water
Cooking spray

In a medium mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients.
Add liquid ingredients; stir to mix.
Generously spray a donut pan; pour batter into pan
Bake until golden brown (timing depends on your donut baking method)
