For over a month now, Duluth News Tribune executive editor Rick Lubbers has been preparing for the Minnesota Ballet’s Celebrity Dance Challenge with his partner Emma Stratton.

We stopped by a practice a few weeks ago to see how things were going. Check it out in the video above.

The event, a fundraiser for the ballet, is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 at Marshall School. Tickets are $30 in a advance for adults at the ballet offices, minnesotaballet.org or A Touch of Plasch, $35 at the door; $20 in advance for children and students, $25 at the door.

Dancers compete for audience favorite, judges’ choice and individual awards.
