Ramp up the Halloween feels with these two simple crafts. The main ingredients: Mason jars and spray paint. Candy not included.

Ghost Mason Jars

Mason jars (different sizes)

Googly eyes

White spray paint

Crazy glue

Newspaper or cardboard

Optional: LED tea light, permanent marker

In a well-ventilated area, place Mason jars upside down on newspaper or cardboard. Read paint instructions, and spray jars with an even layer of white. (I used a 3-ounce bottle of Krylon Short Cuts paint.) Wait at least 15 minutes. Apply another coat, covering any untouched areas. Let dry for at least an hour. Apply googly eyes with crazy glue. Optional: Pop an LED light in your Ghost Mason Jar. Draw a spooky mouth on your ghost. Dim the lights. Stream a scary movie.

Candy Corn Mason Jars

Mason jars (canning jars are preferred)

White spray paint

Orange spray paint

Yellow spray paint

Newspaper or cardboard

In a well-ventilated area, place Mason jars upside down on newspaper or cardboard. Following paint instructions, spray an even layer of white. Repeat, waiting at least 15-20 minutes in between coats. Hold jar from the top, spray a ring of orange. Wait 30 minutes. Place jar upside down, spray a ring of yellow, taking care to cover the bottom. Let dry for an hour. Top jar with screw band. Fill with treats, spooky straws or fake flowers.
