There’s no summer vacation for families with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); challenges related to speech, social skills and behavior are a 24/7 reality. That’s why the Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language Disorders in Duluth is hosting a series of FREE educational workshops this June & July for all interested parents, caregivers and educators of children with autism.
Parents and caregivers will learn emotional regulation strategies from experts, including Dr. Susan Larson Kidd, Educational and Behavioral Consultant, as well as Tamara Pogin, a speech/language pathologist at the Clinic, and board-certified music and occupational therapists. Sessions focus on children up to the age of 9, but parents/caregivers/educators of children of all ages are welcome to attend. The workshops are provided at no cost to participants.
The workshop session runs for five weeks, with classes on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 pm: 6/12/18, 6/19/18, 6/26/18, 7/10/18 & 7/17/18
