Generations of campers, staff, and community members are coming together for a celebration 100 years in the making.

The Superior Douglas County Family YMCA‘s camp began in 1919, thanks to a land donation on Lake Nebagamon. Today, they serve over 1,300 day-campers over the course of 12 weeks.

Staff and past campers sat down with us to talk about the past, present, and future of camp, ahead of their 100-year celebration on Saturday, August 17.

Everyone is welcome to attend the celebration, take a camp tour, sit by the campfire, and take part in other activities throughout the day. Events wrap up with a social hour, dinner and slideshow.
