An award-winning country band that released a chart-topping album earlier this year will return to Duluth next year alongside an edgy artist whose last (non-Christmas) album caused tons of buzz — and earned a Grammy Award nomination — in 2015.

Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Midland will play a show March 16 at Amsoil Arena. Tickets for “The Breakers Tour” go on sale at noon Friday at Ticketmaster outlets including the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center box office.

Little Big Town last played Amsoil Arena in March 2015 — alongside Chris Stapleton. The Grammy Award-winning band known for its harmonies has had hits with “Day Drinking,” “Pontoon,” “Girl Crush” and more.

Musgraves released “Pageant Material” in 2015, and NPR reviewer Ann Powers said of it: “Musgrave continues to build the matter-of-fact fluidly millennial personae she established so beautifully on her Grammy-winning 2013 debut ‘Same Trailer, Different Park’ in songs that hit the palate with a perfect combination of sweetness and pungency …”

Midland is a relatively new band, based out of Texas, that landed on Billboard charts with its song “Drinkin’ Problem.”
