Construction on Duluth’s most iconic mansion began in 1905 and was completed in 1909, with a price tag of $854,000. The infamous story of the Glensheen Mansion stars Chester Congdon, a practiced professional of law, and his wife Clara. The 39 room home fit the Congdons and their seven children most comfortably, and continues today to impress with incredibly fine detail and precision throughout each nook and cranny.
Duluth.com had the pleasure of touring the facility through the Duluth Experience historical tour. Take a peek at some photos we snapped during the visit.
