I remember when the sunshine was ''the blue bell.'' It's nice to see familar places still alive and well, especially in west duluth. haven't been to the sunshine in quite a while, but i remember they made a great hamburger there,as well as omelettes!

Good food, nice atmosphere, and nice people. Steve & Young-A put in many hours, and many more during the closed hours. Good people and very hard workers. Thanks for being in West Duluth.

I stop in every time I am back in Duluth. This summer, it had been two years since our last visit. It was no suprise to me that she remembered my name, my wife's name, and our daughter's name. I have searched all over for a similar experience akin to what you get at the Sunshine Cafe, with no luck. Good eats, good prices, and friendly service every time we stopped in- the things I miss most since leaving West Duluth in 2003.

Thanks for the review and photos! I've always wondered about that place but never tried it. The name is very inviting.

Yeah it's to bad Dan. I just loved breathing in smoke while eating breakfast. All the good things are being taken away!!!

My husband and I eat at the Sunshine Cafe almost every weekend. The owner remembers us every weekend and also remembers if we miss a weekend. My husband loveds the omelette and I love the pancakes. The hashbrowns are to die for. We would recommend it to anyone who is sick of the breakfast chains in duluth.

It's too bad the smoking ban killed so many of these small mom-and-pop diners. You just don't get the same quality of anything in the big, national chain restaurants.
