Tucked in the basement of the Dewitt-Seitz marketplace, Amazing Grace has been a Duluth destination since 1995. With a expansive lunch menu and amazing breakfast ’til noon, as well as fresh baked breads, coffee, espresso, and even Italian soda, there is literally something on the menu for everyone. Oh, and did we mention entertainment? Just take a look around inside: the walls are covered with photos of amazing local artists and performers who frequently grace their stage. Recently Duluth.com decided to stop by for some breakfast and try their Morning Bánh Mì.
[The Bread 10/10] Bánh mì, by near definition, comes on a baguette. The folks at Amazing Grace did not disappoint this expectation. The Morning Bánh Mì came on a delicious crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside house made baguette you might expect from a Parisian cafe.
[The Meat 8/10]
When I think breakfast sandwich, I think sausage. That’s good because this sandwich comes topped with Two huge, perfectly cooked house made sausage patties. Got a full day ahead of you? These hearty sausage patties will fill you up and keep you moving all day long.
The toppings for the Bánh mì are served next to the sandwich. I like that because it lets me dial in the exact combination of the sauteed onions, jalapenos, pickled carrots, and daikon raddish I want in my Bánh mì experience. If this is your first time, I’d recommend a healthy helping of all of them. (daikon raddish is your friend, trust us on this one.)
As if the Morning Bánh mì wasn’t enough on it’s own, the folks at Amazing Grace serve this sandwich with two basted eggs, a mountain of hash browns, and a healthy portion of avocado. A veritable breakfast feast.
[Conclusion] Whether you’re looking for coffee, a quick bite, or some fantastic local music, Amazing Grace has you covered. Stop in before noon and try the Morning Bánh mì, or any of their delicious breakfast options. Tell ’em Duluth.com sent you.
