Establishments across the Twin Ports are saluting their Irish heritage with festive St. Patrick’s Day events on March 17, to which you are invited. From corned beef and cabbage to foot-tapping sounds of Irish music, allow Duluth.com’s four recommendations to help you select which party to attend. Don your green attire, pin the shamrock on your lapel and have a whale of a time at any one of these locally-owned venues:
1. Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake
Irish food, beer and whiskey – oh my! Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake is an authentic English Pub rooted in tradition and fun. What began as a car service shop in the 1920s has evolved into a casual Tudor tavern serving gourmet sandwiches, live music nearly every night and a huge array of drinks on tap. Head over to Sir Ben’s on St. Patrick’s Day to experience authentic Irish fare at its best. Corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, lamb stew and shepherd’s pie are featured on the one night only menu. Plus, indulge in a pint of Guinness or an Irish whiskey on special while listening to the live sounds of Celtic Jam.
