Put a car vent clip air freshener on your vents.

Every time the heater blows your room will smell fresh! Dryer sheets over AC/fan also freshen up a room.


Put your bed on bed lifts.

These cheap bed risers make the space under your bed useable for storage. A great way to maximize on your space.

When planning for assignments, put a due date 2 days before the real deadline.

Marking your calendar early for an assignment means you’ll get it done early. And at the very worst, if you discover the assignment on your calendar the day it’s due you’ll have a buffer of time so you don’t have to pull an all nighter. Bonus: If you are turning in a hard copy print it as soon as you finish it. The printer will always break 10 minutes before class.


If you are doing a presentation in class, bring it on a memory stick.

The Internet will break when it’s your turn to present. Bringing your presentation on a flash drive is a stress free back up plan.

During your presentation have a friend in class ask a question you have prepared an answer for.

What better way to prove to your knowledge on a subject than to have someone ask a great question and receive a great answer. Bonus: to practice for the presentation, have your friend ask you several questions they thought of after watching you practice.

This way you can charge your devices without cluttering the space with cords.

Take a photo of your roommate/friend holding the item when they borrow something from you.

Delete the photo when they return it. No more wondering who borrowed your favorite DVD.

Use an over the door shoe caddy to store snacks.

It’ll make it easy to see what you have and you’ll always know when you are getting low.
